This was a typically terraced garden with three very plain levels. The owner wanted a Sissinghurst inspired garden and it was therefore filled with white blooms and an evergreen structure of box balls. Another, shadier part of the garden was paved with a curved flowerbed in a corner, edged with box and filled with ferns and more white blossoms.
Small town garden
Before I got involved with this garden, there was a bicycle shed blocking this view, which actually was not a bad thing as all was to see was a patch of dying grass and a lot of concrete. The owners wanted somewhere easy to maintain with a seating area in the sun and some shade as the garden is south facing. This garden is in Worthing and they wanted to be reminded of the proximity of the sea which is why I used plants with a seaside feel, a sail, decking and gravel. (The bicycle shed is still there but was moved to a less prominent place).
